SMART BRIDGE CULVERT is designed to assist bridge engineers in the analysis, design, and rating of cast-in-place and precast reinforced concrete culverts.

SMART BRIDGE CULVERT covers close-box, three-sided and arch culverts with one or multiple spans, as shown in the figure below. Additional culvert types, as well as retaining walls will be introduced in the near future.

• Easy culvert modeling: The user-friendly graphic interface makes the culvert modeling extremely easy and efficient. The culvert graph is automatically generated based on the input data, which makes the data verification simple and convenient.
• Automatic load generation: All the member self-weight, earth pressure, water pressure, and surcharges can be automatically generated in the program based on the input data. Appropriate load factors from AASHTO LRFD Specifications are added to each load according to the load type. The user can also choose to add additional loads or surcharges.
• Comprehensive vehicle library: Smart Bridge Culvert includes a comprehensive library for all the common vehicles. The user can also easily add and configure new vehicles to be used in the analysis.
• Live load distribution and load combination: The vehicular loads are automatically positioned and distributed through the earth in accordance with the AASHTO design codes. The worst case combinations are considered for different live load position, water presence, and maximum/minimum lateral earth pressure.
• Build-in FEM: Smart Bridge Culvert is equipped with a powerful and efficient build-in FEM program for the structural analysis. All type of culverts can be analyzed in seconds and the results are shown in graphs and tables for easy review. This program has been carefully compared with other commercial FEM programs like SAP2000 and RISA to verify its accuracy.
• Detailed PDF report with step by step hand solution: Instead of the plain text report used by other software, Smart Bridge Culver can generate a much more functional and professional PDF report with text, graphs, and tables. The user can also design the cover page, page headers/footers, and insert other pictures or PDF files.
